About Chemistry Student
Chemistry Student was created and written by Matt, a chemistry tutor with thousands of hours of experience helping students around the world understand the subject.
Work on the site began back in 2019 – with encouragement and support from his wife – as a simple set of notes for Matt’s students. Over time, it has grown into a complete, structured learning platform used by learners and teachers across the world – from A-Level and IB students to those following AP and NCERT courses.
Every page has been rewritten and refined over the years to make complex topics as clear and intuitive as possible. The goal has always been the same: to build a space that explains chemistry in a way that actually makes sense, with the depth needed for top exam performance.
Alongside the website, the Chemistry Student YouTube channel (@chemistry.student) continues to expand, now featuring hundreds of videos that cover key concepts, reactions, and exam-style questions. The same approach applies – clear, concise explanations that help you truly understand.
Many of the students Matt has worked with have gone on to achieve extraordinary success, studying at top universities around the world.
Chemistry Student brings that experience together in one accessible space – designed to feel like a personal set of notes from a teacher who knows what its like to struggle with understanding a topic!
Wherever you are, and whatever your journey, Matt and his wife hope chemistrystudent.com is a helpful stepping stone on the path to your future.
